“Find meaning in your work, or do work that has meaning” - someone smart
Entrepreneurs are a special breed. I grew up around entrepreneurs and have many friends blazing their own path today. The allure of entrepreneurship (amongst many factors) is the ability to choose your work. You’re free to pursue projects that inspire you. Projects that bring deep meaning and create a lasting impact.
But I work at a job….
What about us worker bees? For the remaining 84% of the U.S. working population, are we meant to toil away?
We don’t need to live the “entrepreneurial dream” to do important work. And we don’t necessarily have to “love” a job to find deep meaning.
Consider the ways meaning can be found in work.
It could mean stimulating our creativity, helping humanity, impacting our community, cultivating community, providing for others, funding a lifestyle, etc. (the list goes on). Whatever our meaning is, it’s up to us to find (and refind) this.
Happy Humpday! We’re halfway there. If this resonates, read it again Monday morning… And send it to a friend (;

Week 1 Single-Tasking Challenge: Mealtime
For the past week each time I sat down to eat, I did so free of distractions (minus a rogue baby crawling around my home)
No phones. No magazines, bills, newspapers, etc. Just food.

This is a habit I’d like to stick with.
I found myself less stressed and more present. And food tasted better. Instead of the typical heavy douse of hot sauce while mindlessly scrolling, I recognized more complex flavors in my meals, appreciated each ingredient, and even thought of some new ways to add variety to future dishes. I also noticed I was satiated sooner and overate less. (although I did consciously indulge in a little ice cream Sunday)

How about some ice cream pie?

Everyone’s favorites
Everyone has an opinion. And we can learn a lot from someone’s preferences.
Food for thought:
What’s your favorite Thanksgiving meal? Or dessert?
What was your favorite part of this past year?
What’s your favorite holiday?
I’m getting hungry already…..
THANK YOU for making it to the end!
